2023 LRTA State Fall Meeting
Louisiana retired educators are invited to attend the 2023 LRTA State Fall Meeting taking place October 16-17, 2023 at the Embassy Suites in Baton Rouge, LA. The theme is Louisiana Lagniappe! Wear your best hat or create a one of a kind unique hat for a fun contest. We will vote on the best hats on day two of the meeting, and prizes will be awarded!
This year’s meeting will provide a variety of informational sessions with awards, door prizes and a silent auction. The event will host guest speakers, Senator Ed Price and Katherine Whitney, TRSL Director. Additionally we are excited to have a special guest performance by musician and storyteller, James Linden Hogg, and a much anticipated presentation delivered by historian and political figure, Jay Dardenne–both which you will not want to miss!
Attendees must pre-register for the convention banquet dinner by October 9, 2023. Although on-site registration is available, pre-registration will ensure that you will receive a packet containing your name tag and other meeting materials upon arrival.
The Embassy Suites is offering LRTA members a special room rate at $106 /per night for a king room and $116/per night for two double beds. The cutoff date for this special rate is September 24, 2023. The hotel is located at 4914 Constitution Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70808. Use code 903 when booking your hotel room.
